Police said the man yelled at the driver of a pewter-colored Ford F250, which accelerated faster than it should have and came very close to the victim in the crosswalk.

The truck driver yelled at the man before pulling away, but quickly confronted the victim outside the truck on Cypress Gardens Boulevard.

Police said the driver got out of the truck and punched the elderly man, who then said he was going to call the police.
