Emily Ratajkowski admitted that she “hardly posted” any photos from the CFDA Fashion Awards because she knew her abs presentation “would” spark “controversy.
Ratajkowski, 30, finally shared photos from the event, which happened earlier this month on November 10, to his Instagram in a post on Wednesday.
The model wore an outfit designed by the Miu Miu brand. Ratajkowski paired a cropped sweater layered over a collared shirt with a long navy skirt.
“I almost didn’t post this because I knew the controversy it would spark, but hey, it’s my body and I’m not going to lean into shame!” she captioned both photos of the event.

“The influence and status that I acquired was granted to me only because I attracted men,” Ratajkowski wrote in the introduction to his book. “My position has brought me closer to wealth and power and has given me some autonomy, but it has not resulted in true emancipation.
“This is something that I only acquired now, having written these essays and expressed what I thought and experienced.”
The model is no stranger to sharing photos of her body online. She continually posts swimwear to promote her swimwear line, Inamorata, and also posed nude while pregnant with her first child.
Ratajkowski was 20 weeks pregnant at the time.
