The Armenian Orthodox Patriarch in Lebanon, Aram I. Kishishian, praised the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in spreading the culture of tolerance and moderation.
This happened during his meeting with the ambassador of the administrator of the two holy mosques in Lebanon, Walid Abdullah Bukhari, at the headquarters of the Patriarchate in Antelias, where he emphasized the importance of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to promote dialogue, communication and understanding between peoples continue and work to find common ground to build exemplary relationships among the countries of the world based on trust, understanding and mutual respect.
For his part, Bukhari reiterated the kingdom’s determination to maintain Lebanon’s stability and independence in its political choice, noting the importance of avoiding hate speech, as it is in constant conflict with the national interest and leads to sharp polarization among the spectrum society and exposes it to danger.
Bukhari expressed his hope that the Lebanese would react to prioritize their highest national interest and address challenges that match the legitimate aspirations of the Lebanese people.
Buchari discussed with his host, Patriarch Aram I, Kishishian, the fraternal relations between the Kingdom and the Armenians in Lebanon and around the world, as well as the exchange of friendly conversations between the two sides.
